Day 119 // And Here I Sit On the Sidelines

Just like the front door revolves at Bella Forza so does the cycle of life.

For almost five years now I’ve watched ladies evolve – walking through the doors timid and confused with life…finding comfort in a new job or boyfriend…experiencing sadness with a breakup or a move…celebrating the joy that comes with marriage along with discovering the unknown workload that it brings…smiling in the creation of a new life…and unearthing the reality of life.

And here I sit on the sidelines, twice the age of most, watching with eyes of experience yet still learning from each one. A mother to some, a friend to many, they are like my children moving forward with life encountering its highs and lows.

And here I sit on the sidelines, twice the age of most, with “the journey” I can only hope never crosses their paths. But it’s their cycle of life that keeps me twirling with desire to vision my daughter’s cycle, determined to follow along. And it’s through the most powerful evolution – that of a girl flourishing into a woman – that she becomes who she was meant to be, strengthened in character and heart, realizing her place and value as a human being.

And here I sit on the sidelines, twice the age of most, embracing the beautiful life laid before me. I hope one day, as these ladies have the opportunity to reflect on the cycle of life, they too can look at the youthful only to smile and remind their heart to live for today as the future never promises. It’s only as bright as your eyes will trust and your heart will hold faith.
