Day 75 // What “C” Can’t Do

“C.” Just the sound of the word fills hearts with fear and dread. It’s a terrifying diagnosis for anyone, threatening to rob you of your health, energy, vitality and sense of well-being. It endangers your ability to provide for yourself and take care of your loved ones. It may steal your identity, sense of purpose and significance. It can ruin the best-laid plans, destroying hopes and dreams. It has taken friends and loved ones far too soon.

“C” is a powerful enemy. But it’s not all-powerful. As I find myself in the heart of the battle, it helps to remember that there are some things “c” cannot do.

Cancer is so limited.

It cannot cripple love.

It cannot shatter hope.

It cannot corrode faith.

It cannot destroy peace.

It cannot suppress confidence.

It cannot kill friendship.

It cannot shut out memories.

It cannot silence courage.

It cannot invade the soul.

It cannot steal eternal life.

It cannot conquer the spirit.

Therefore, it cannot and will not lessen the power of Me!
