Day 142 // The Little Things in Life Are the Big Things!

Some people have skeletons in their closet. I used to have a Barbie in mine.
The sun shines red under the heavy lids,
The pages unfurl in the wind.
It blows salty gusts and ocean spray
Making it a lazy day.
As we cuddled in bed on Sunday evening, a commercial appeared on television for a cancer treatment center. Tears trickled from my eyes as David gently placed his hand on mine.
It's no fun to go out shopping
And tag along behind
The wife, no doubt, who's leading
To see what she can find.
In order for your life to be great, you must first learn to appreciate it.
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~ JFK
Chemo and her side effects have been knocking at the door. As Gia always says, don't answer to strangers.
The day before chemo always comes with a roller coaster of emotions...
Loving yourself is the greatest gift you can give to YOU!
