The long awaited day with the news we were hoping for - remission. Words cannot explain the flood of emotions.
These are the real super heroes - flying nowhere, saving no one, but instead inspiring us all. Their courage and conviction as they battled a hideous disease never wavered.
It takes strength to be certain,
It takes courage to have doubts.
It takes strength to fit in,
32 oz. of iodine and saline, two needle pokes for an IV contrast, deep breath once, then again as the conveyor moves me through the scan.
Saving hair...saving dignity...saving sanity...
